Managed Metadata in SharePoint 2010

I came across this training video about how to use Managed Metadata in SharePoint 2010 from the Microsoft Developer Network site.  This is a 20 minute video and worth watching from anybody who is doing content management inside of SharePoint 2010.

A few key highlights:

- Ability to define and share content types enterprise wide from a single site collection. Local content types can still be created and can inherit from enterprise content types.

- Browse and filter content inside of document libraries using the taxonomies with the metadata navigation features.  This can help eliminate the need for folders in SharePoint 2010.

- Ability to create managed term sets at the site collection level when adding a new managed metadata column to a library

Overall, this is a great primer.
